Healthy After School Snacks

I know it can be so hard to figure out snacks that are tasty, quick, and healthy, especially when we are busy. So during one of those busy days, as I was running around doing, what felt like a million tasks, I needed a snack that was going to be quick, easy, and healthy, especially for Wendy. So I looked in my cupboard and in my fridge and came up with these tasty apple treats.

I had one granny smith apple in my fridge, so that’s what I used. But you could use just about any apple. I know Granny Smiths aren’t everyone’s cup of tea. Anyways, I removed the core of the apple, using an apple corer. Next, I spiced the apple into rounds and spread peanut butter on them. You don’t have to use peanut butter, you could spread just about anything on them, almond butter, hazelnut butter, Nutella, the possibilities are endless. Sprink on some nuts, shredded coconut, mini chocolate chips and you’re done. Pretty easy, right?
