With Easter just around the corner, I figured I would share over 20 crafts that you can make with your kid this year. I know I’ll be making some of these with Wendy. She’s getting to that age where crafting is actually a lot of fun with her, there’s always a huge mess, but ’tis life.Read More

I’m sure I’m not the only mom out there whose daughter is obsessed with Frozen. Wendy discovered Frozen when she was over a year ago and to this day it’s still one of her go-to films. So when it was time to start planning her 2nd birthday party, it was a no-brainer, Frozen Fever it had to be.

Bright living room with spring coloured pillows and flowers, of pinks and yellows

Spring is just around the corner and I am so ready for it! I even spent the weekend changing over our seasonal decor, bringing in some brighter and lighter colours. With each season, I go through each room and change up the decor a bit, just to make it feel homey. This weekend was all about our living room sitting area. Star Wars Blue Milk Hot Chocolate

If you’re a Star War fan then I don’t have to tell you all about blue milk. With Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge opening up on August 29, 2019, at Walt Disney World and on May 31st, 2019 at Disneyland, it’s not a surprise that the Disney parks will be serving these up in their lands. But I anticipate that the line ups to get into Galaxy’s Edge will be insane. Like hours upon hours just to get in, never mind to order a drink, so I think I’ll be making my own blue milk drinks at home. Like this blue milk hot chocolate, which is a great one to enjoy during cool westher.

If you’re new to the world of Walt Disney World, then I should mention that you can find Le Cellier Steakhouse inside E.P.C.O.T. at the Canadian Pavilion. The scenery is beautiful and peaceful. Whenever we go, Chris and I love taking our time walking through the grounds and admiring the beautiful flowers. Also, the show at the Pavillion is pretty entertaining. Martin Short rocks it out loud, Canadian style.

Inspired by the world-famous Jungle Cruise, is the interesting and quirky Jungle Navigation Co. Ltd. Skipper Canteen. During our last trip, we needed a place to place that wasn’t booked up because as we walked around the Magic Kingdom, we got hungry. Anyone’s who has planned a Disney trip knows that there are a few restaurants at the Magic Kingdom that rarely book up entirely. Lucky for us the Skipper Canteen is one of them. We checked the My Disney Experience app for a reservation and managed to grab one. YAY US!

I don't really do big themes that change from year to year. I find that rather wasteful, instead I focus on stories. Pieces that speak to us as a family, ornaments that tell a story either related to an experience or a nod to each of us as individuals. How do you decorate for Christmas?
