Candied Bacon Wrapped Mini Sausages

These candied bacon smokies are so easy to cook up and it’s always a party favourite. Each time I serve it up it’s gone within minutes. It’s savoury and sweet and just melts in your mouth.I’ll spare you the story behind this dish and just direct you to the bottom of this post for the recipe.

Candied Bacon Wrapped Smokies

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lbs of bacon, cut into thirds
  • 1 package of cocktail sausages
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • dash of salt and pepper


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees and spray a large baking sheet or oven-proof
  2. Cut the strips of bacon into thirds. It’ll be easier to cut if the bacon is cold.
  3. Wrap the bacon thirds around the cocktail sausages.
  4. Placed the wrapped sausages in a glass baking dish or other baking tray.
  5. Sprinkle the brown sugar and spread the honey over the sausages evenly.
  6. Bake for 40 minutes.
  7. Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving.
