If you’re like me then you have already signed up Disney Plus and have probably binged watched a few movies and series… cough… Mandalorian… cough… Now you’re probably wondering what to watch new, I suggest you need to watch these 6 classic Disney shorts available on Disney Plus.
1. Donald Duck in Bearly Asleep
If you’ve never heard of Humphrey the Bear than I recommend you watch this Disney short. It features Donald Duck as a ranger who is looking after a National Park for the winter and sends all the bears to sleep in their cave. Humphrey is promptly kicked out of the cave by other bears who are tired of his snoring, so he heads to Donald’s cabin. It’s funny and one of my favourite shorts. My toddler even enjoys this one.
2. Disney’s Beezy Bear
Yes, another Humphrey the Bear short. I find him really entertaining to watch. There are many more Humphrey the Bear shorts that aren’t on Disney Plus, but hopefully one day, Disney will actually put EVERYTHING they own on the platform.
In this short, Humphrey keeps going over to Donald’s bee farm to try and steal honey. Donald has no proof that Humphrey is doing it but tries endlessly to catch him in the act.
3. Pluto’s Christmas Tree
The tree that Mickey and Pluto chop down comes with two little surprises, Chip and Dale. This one is a holiday classic, at least it was in my childhood and I continue to watch it each year.
4. Goofy: The Art of Skiing
Another classic that has popped up over the years is Goofy’s The Art of Skiing. This is one of Wendy’s favourite. My toddler laughs and laughs at Goofy’s goofy attempts to learn to ski.
5. Donald Duck: Trailer Horn
Donald decides to take a small camping trip and runs into trouble when Chip and Dale decide to ruin his relaxing trip. So in usual Donald fashion, he tries to get rid of Chip and Dale but fails in hilarious ways.
6. Mickey’s Trailer
Another classic among Disney shorts is Mickey’s Trailer. I remember watching this as a kid whenever my family had the free preview of The Disney Channel in Canada. So many classics were showcased but this one was always fun to watch.
