Star Wars Blue Milk Hot Chocolate

If you’re a Star War fan then I don’t have to tell you all about blue milk. With Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge opening up on August 29, 2019, at Walt Disney World and on May 31st, 2019 at Disneyland, it’s not a surprise that the Disney parks will be serving these up in their lands. But I anticipate that the line ups to get into Galaxy’s Edge will be insane. Like hours upon hours just to get in, never mind to order a drink, so I think I’ll be making my own blue milk drinks at home. Like this blue milk hot chocolate, which is a great one to enjoy during cool westher.

This is an incredibly easy drink to put together and it’ll take you no time at all, plus it’ll be a hit with your family and friends.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of milk (I used lactose-free 2%)
  • 1/4 cups of white chocolate chips
  • 1/2 tsp peppermint extract
  • 1 drop of blue food colouring
  • optional whipped cream & sprinkles for topping

Instructions:

  1. In a medium saucepan, heat the milk and white chocolate chips until the chips have melted. I heated the milk and chocolate on medium-low. You don’t want the film coating once milk boils nor do you want to burn the chocolate. So take it slow.
  2. Once the chips have melted, stir in the extract and the food colouring
  3. Remove from the stove top, pour into a heatproof mug and top with whipped cream and sprinkles. Enjoy!

I don't really do big themes that change from year to year. I find that rather wasteful, instead I focus on stories. Pieces that speak to us as a family, ornaments that tell a story either related to an experience or a nod to each of us as individuals. How do you decorate for Christmas?
