We’re all looking for healthier and allergy-friendly Halloween treats, it can sometimes be a difficult task. Then I realized I may have had everything I needed at home to create an awesome Halloween themed snack that would please parents and kids. Plus these little avocado chocolate pudding zombie bunny cups are the cutest little things. They taste great too. My two-year didn’t even notice that she was eating avocado pudding, she just called it chocolate. I’ll claim that as a win.

This recipe is really simple and the little pudding cups are sure to impress everyone’s tastebuds. The chocolate pudding is creamy and sweet and the gummy bunnies are so cute coming out of “the ground.” You don’t even need very much to make these.

You’ll need (I included links, so you can find the items I used or similar to what I used)

  • one ripe avocado
  • maple syrup
  • cocoa powder
  • Annie’s Homegrown Gluten-Free Cocoa & Vanilla Bunny Cookies
  • Annie’s Homegrown Organic Berry Patch Bunny Fruit Snacks
  • a blender
  • mini dessert or appetizer bowls

You can find the recipe below. I made these for a Halloween treat table and it was such a hit, I had to quickly make another batch!

Description

A fun and allergy-friendly treat for your next Halloween Party

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 avocado, ripe
  • 3 Tbsp maple syrup
  • 3 Tbsp unsweetended cocoa powder
  • 4-6 Tbsp non-dairy milk, I used cashew milk
  • 1 cup Annie’s Homegrown Gluten-Free Cocoa & Vanilla Bunny Cookies
  • Annie’s Homegrown Organic Berry Patch Bunny Fruit Snacks

Instructions

  1. Cut open the avocade, scoop out the inside, discarding the peel and pit.
  2. Put the avocado, maple syrup, 4 tbsp of non-dairy milk, and cocoa powder into a blender and blender until creamy and mixed.
  3. Add more non-dairy milk for a creamier consistency. Add 1 tbsp at a time.
  4. Crush 1 cup of the Annie’s Homegrown gluten-free cocoa & vanilla bunny cookies. Set aside.
  5. Divide the chocolate pudding between six bowls.
  6. Top with the crushed cookies
  7. Stick a gummy bunny or two into the bowls, making it look like the bunnies are coming out of the pudding.
