Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 2 cups Cinnamon Chex cereal
  • 2 cups Wheat Chex cereal
  • 2 cups Honey Nut Cheerios
  • 1 cup pretzels
  • 1 1/2 cups mixed roasted nuts
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. In a small sauce pot or microwaveable bowl melt the butter, about 1 minute on high.
  2. Once the butter is melted, stir in the brown sugar, pumpkin pie spice, and vanilla extract.
  3. In a slow cooker, add cereal, pretzels, and mixed roasted nuts.
  4. Evenly pour the butter/pumpkin pie spice mixture over the dry ingredients in the slow cooker. Stir the ingredients so it’s well combined. Be careful not to crush your cereal in the process.
  5. Cook on High for 2 hours, stirring every 20 minutes or so. The mixture will be on the tacky side
  6. Transfer the mixture to a large baking sheet, and let the mixture sit for 2 hours or overnight. It’ll dry out the mixture and make it crunchier.
  7. You can store the Chex Mix in an airtight container for 2 – 3 weeks.
