So you’re taking your infant to Disney World and now you’re wondering what the heck will you and your baby be able to do there. Well, there is plenty! The thing I love about Walt Disney World is that it is so much more than just an amusement park. Walt Disney World is designed to tell a story every step you take. Each ride a new wonderful tale, you just have to be open to it.
Walt Disney wanted to create a theme park that worked for adults and kids alike. He was tired of taking his daughters to amusements parks where he could not experience the fun with them. That’s when his idea for Disneyland was born. So Walt Disney World is an extension of this idea. There is plenty to do with your infant or toddler.
When we took Wendy at 5 weeks old, we actually enjoyed every minute of it. We enjoyed awesome dining and went on many rides with the little munchkin. She also looked like she was having a lot of fun. Here’s a list of attractions you can enjoy with your little munchkins. Chris and I enjoyed many of these with Wendy. We had so much fun and I’m sure you will too! [Read more…]
So I just received my second Mickey’s Mystery Box today and I could not be happier! This box has stolen my Disney heart. I couldn’t believe all the stuff I received. I’ll show you everything I received and the value of the items. I should mention, I subscribe to the Fantastmic box (their largest box).
If you know me, then you know I’m obsessed with all things Disney, especially Disney World. So during the holidays, as I was surfing through Instagram, I found a totally new to me subscription box called Mickey’s Mystery Box. I had never heard of this box before, but they were offering a special Christmas box and I just couldn’t say no. [Read more…]
Recently Chris and I took a trip to our home away from home, Walt Disney World. We had this trip booked well before we become pregnant with Wendy. I booked the trip because I bought tickets to attend Type-A Parent Conference, which was amazing, back in fall of 2015. When we found out Wendy was due in September, we had to make a decision. Were we going to brave it and bring a possible five week old (at most) to the most magical place on earth, or cancel the trip and sell my conference ticket?
We decided to brave it and I’m so happy that we did. It was such a wonderful trip, even though I was busy at the conference. Chris and Wendy enjoyed some serious Daddy-Daughter time. He was so happy to brag about the fact that he bought Wendy her first pin, took her on her first ride (Pirates), and met her first characters with him. Because of this trip, we learned a few things. Hi ho lovely people,
If you follow me on Instagram (WithLoveFromBex) then you have probably noticed that I am a HUGE Disney fan…okay massively huge….fine, I’m obsessed. But hey, it’s Disney, can you really blame me? I’ve been to Walt Disney World more times than I can count and in that time I’ve kinda become known as ‘the Disney geek’ among my family and friends, which is a title I carry with pride. So today, I thought I would share some of my tips on how to make your vacation to Disney World magical. [Read more…]
The Star Wars films are some of our favourite and go-to films for our quiet nights in. I mean, it has everything anyone could want: action, comedy, romance, cuteness (who doesn’t love BB-8?). I really hope Wendy will grow up and appreciate these classic films, but she will not watch episode 1 until she is old enough to dislike Jar Jar….what an annoying character. Anyways, since it’s bloody cold out and a new Star Wars film was released today, I figured I would share a Star Wars blue milk cocoa with you! It’s Star Wars related, it tastes good, and it’s warm for anyone out there experiencing the cold blues.
- 2 cups of milk (I used Lactose free 2%)
- ¼ cups of white chocolate chips
- ½ tsp of peppermint extract
- 1 drop of blue food colouring
- optional whipped cream & sprinkles for topping
- In a medium saucepan, heat the milk and white chocolate chips until the chips have melted.I heated the milk and chocolate on medium-low. I don't enjoy the filming coating once milk boils and you don't want to burn the chocolate either. So take it slow.
- Once the chips have melted, stir in the extract and the food colouring.
- Remove from stovetop, pour into a clear mug (one that can handle hot liquids), top with whipped cream and sprinkles!
Now go make yourself some hot cocoa and enjoy a Star Wars film, I recommend Star Wars: The Force Awakens!
In honour of the release of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, I’ve decided to put together a gift guide for the Star Wars fan in your life. Chris and I are huge Star Wars nerds. We own the blu-rays, have a vinyl record Star Wars clock hanging in our living room, t-shirts galore, comics, action figures, and home decor….the list could actually go on. (actually I’m wearing a Star Wars Ewok hoodie has I type this). Anyways, here are some ideas as to what to get fellow Star Wars nerds for Christmas. [Read more…]
